Weddings held at The Trust are subject to these terms and conditions

Written confirmation

Confirmation of a booking must be made within 14 days of the original reservation date. If written confirmation is not received, The Trust reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Payment of Accounts

Deposit
A deposit is required to confirm any booking. The required deposit amount will be stipulated in client's quote. A minimum deposit of 25% of the estimated function cost is required at the time of confirmation and is non-refundable 60 days prior to the function.

Final payment
Unless otherwise agreed to, the Client must forward full payment to The Trust three (3) days prior to the date of the function, either by cash or credit card. Cheques are accepted only when received seven (7) days prior to the function.

Guarantee of payment
The contract signatory is personally liable to pay all monies in full to The Trust. Where the invoice has been addressed to another person, company or entity, personal liability remains the responsibility of the contract signatory.

Cancellations

In the event of a cancellation, the following terms will apply:

  • The Trust requires written notice of any cancellation or postponement.

  • For 60 days or greater the deposit will be refunded in full.

  • 30-60 days of the function 100% of the deposit will be retained.

  • 7-30 days prior to the function the cancellation fee will be 50% of the function value as noted in quote.

  • 6 or less days prior to the function, 100% of the function value will be charged to the client, based on guest numbers in signed quote.

Postponement

Unless prior arrangement is made with The Trust, the cancellation terms as noted above will be applicable in the event of a function being postponed.

Final attendance

Final guest numbers are required 5 business days prior to the function. This will be the minimum number of guests you will be charged for. Any further increases, although accepted, may necessitate some menu variation. All billing will be based on this figure whether or not full attendance is received.

Pricing

The prices listed with the menus are current at the time of quotation.

Designated times

The Client agrees to begin the function and vacate the designated function space at the scheduled times.

Duration

Any extension beyond specified duration will incur an additional per person charge based on total catered numbers.

The duration can only be extended by the Client, or your nominated representatives, in consultation with The Trust management subject to an agreement to incur this additional cost.

Attendance numbers

The final number of guests attending must be confirmed to The Trust by 12.00 noon three (3) days prior to the function.

If within 60 days prior to the function the Expected Attendance reduces by 20% or more, the Client will be liable to pay 50% of the charges applicable to the number of guests by which the attendance was reduced.

Damage to property

The client will be responsible for any damage sustained to The Trust's property and/or fittings during an event and will be charged for any necessary repairs, labour or replacement.

Damaged property

The Trust will not accept responsibility for damage, or loss of the client's property left on the premises prior, during or after the function. Clients should arrange their own insurance.

Cleaning

General and normal cleaning is included in the cost of the function. If substantial additional cleaning is required after a function, the costs will be added to the final taxable invoice.

Menus

If due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. supplier shortages) The Trust is not able to provide the agreed menu or services, The Trust reserves the right to adapt the menu or services in consultation with the Client.

Smoking

The restaurant of The Trust is a non-smoking venue. Provision is made for smokers in designated areas. Clients are asked to ensure that their guests dispose of their cigarette ash, butts and matches thoughtfully, using ashtrays provided. Any damage sustained to The Trust will be charged to the client.

Trust Property

Nothing is to be nailed, screwed, stapled or adhered to any wall, door or other surface or part of the building. Any signage used must be approved by The Trust.

Consumption/behaviour

The Trust reserves the right to refuse the supply of alcohol to patrons, who appear to be intoxicated.

The Trust reserves the right to ask intoxicated or disorderly patrons to leave the premises at any time.

The Trust reserves the right to request proof of identification before serving alcohol beverages to The Trust guests.

Security

A security person (or people depending on numbers) will be required for Sunday functions. Please allow $33.00 per security person, per hour, for a minimum of three hours. Security personnel are charged from 30 minutes prior to the commencement of your function, until the last guests depart.

Rehearsal/entertainers

All planned entertainment must be approved by The Trust management.

Delivery of Equipment, Decoration, Effects

All deliveries to The Trust must be arranged with The Trust management. Deliveries must be clearly marked with client details. There is no short or long term storage available for equipment at The Trust and collection of goods must occur within 24 hours after the function.

Weddings

The throwing of confetti and rice is prohibited on the grounds of The Trust.

Conclusion

In accordance with the Liquor Licensing Regulations, all functions at The Trust are to conclude by 12.00 a.m. Monday to Wednesday and by 1.00 a.m. Thursday to Saturday, all music must be reduced to a background level by 11pm.
